Making Textures

Im going to show you how to make G36E Textures. I wont show you how to xtract convert or inject, you need to look at D worms Tut on modding for that.


Ive learned if you just color a TGA ( converted Rez file your editing) to a color, or paste a texture over it it lose's its edges and looks horriable. So it has to be done a certain way. I dont use photoshop i have it and still prefer other programs.

First off after you turn the file into a TGA and extract it to your desktop
open it with Irfan view, okay now just copy it, take it and paste it in windows paint. Resize it to 739x739 save it. Now from there you can edit it or go online to lunapic to change the texture color tint. I say color tint because if you just color the picture with regular paint it loses its edges making it seemless and horrible to look at!! So you go to lunapic to give it a ''color tint'' meaning original picture new color looks great or you can even implant a image over the original called ''convert two images'' this takes a your regular image and puts another pictures texture over it.. makeing it see threw basically. Once you've done whatever you want to do to the image in lunapic ( copy and paste it ) into another Windows paint window i say copy and paste cause if you save the file directly to your computer it will create a gif image that wont work. So copy and paste it into a new windows paint tab.

once you've done everything you want to it. Copy it and go to irfan view, press Ctrl+A go to edit at the top next to file, click it and next click paste. Save it to the desktop and overwrite the original file. Then you go into DEdit and do all good stuff..













I went to lunapic, uploaded the orignal image.
Tinted it purple- copy and pasted it into a windows paint tab
Tinted it green- copy and pasted it into a windows paint tab
Broke the purple tint file into pieces
then copy and pasted the pieces over the green tinted image
saved it, so it will be green and purple!
Now if your really bored you can even add images like i did with mine
