So if you didn't see the message from Niantic themselves you can see their post they made on Facebook yesterday afternoon about the update here.
I realize a post was made on the update but it didn't include everything.

Everyone is pissed about the foot print update but to be honest it's not that big of a deal to me. I play the game legit, and haven't botted my main account as I go out quite a bit, and there not being any foot prints hasn't hindered me in any way. In the beta of the game the distance of Pokémon from your current location was measured by meters; but once your nearby tab loaded the meters never changed. This was never a problem for anyone, and quite frankly it was almost as if nothing was there (kinda like it is now..) because the number never did change.

As for Niantic shutting down programs like Pokevision, I think they made a mistake. If players live in a very rural area it may be hard for them to find certain rare Pokémon. Hell, not even rare, sometimes it may be hard to find shit like a Growlithe. I hope in the future that Niantic will either make a feature (whether it be paid or free) that is similar to Pokevision, or let the programs similar exist.

What are your thoughts?

Pokevision shouldn't be prevented as it isn't entirely bad. Sure it gives people an upper advantage as to where Pokemon are but they help people in rural areas as you have stated.

The number of active players is decreasing and I see less people at the park nowadays.
Making the Pokemon(s) run more often and harder to catch has seemingly made people quit.
Plus their new update removed the good features instead of adding good ones.

If that's the case, then there is more of a reason to quit loool.
Maybe when the whole game stops working, they'll delete the game. Jokes aside, they need a better management system.
Especially a Community Manager.

If only they didn't do that maybe I would stop debating about quitting.

Isn't that what all businesses want? I'm just hoping that when trading is introduced, it won't be removed due to duping of Pokemon (if they do screw it up somehow).

This honestly reminds me of Kabam and how they dealt with Realm of the Mad God. If Nintendo were working on this, we might see this game have a better future

"Community Involvement" is one of them.

i remember that if you tap on the pokemon and the compass it will lead you to it. but regardless the app in the star has a 1- 1/.5 rating lel

On the Android version it's still 3.9 surprisingly.

They seriously need to listen to the complaints and improve the game based on the players opinions. They could in my opinion whenever you tap on the pokemon a compass appears and leads you to the direction which i guess makes it more fun rather than removing the steps which were glitched out

basically the game is dying due to lack of navigation of finding pokemons and glitches ?

Pokevision actually helped improved the quality of the game for me.

The game gets boring and boring after every update they do.
