Information about the bans.

Just to clear some things up.

Soft IP-ban
Bans the IP not the account! This is not permanent!
All the accounts on this IP will be unable to see
Pokestops, gyms and pokemon.

Hard IP-ban
This IP has been banned permanently and this will never go away.

Soft ban
Spinning pokestops gives nothing, and pokemon always run on the first ball. (this was the original softban)
Spinning pokestops is fine, but pokemon always run.
All pokestops say out of range, and no pokemon ever spawn.
You can catch pokemon fine, but can not spin pokestops.

Hard ban
Permanent ban. You will receive an error with: Read data error.
Login error does not mean you are banned!

There are also, Temp pokestop ban and Temp pokemon ban. Both appear to disappear after 24 hours.


Don't forget to check your mail.
You could have gotten an e-mail from noreply@pokemon.com with the message about your ban.

Stop using any 3rd party service or spoofing until Niantic updates or gives any information about what is happening at the moment.

I tried to log in to the game from my phone and it keeps saying: "failed to retrieve data from server". I'm fucked huh.

So "Failed to get game data from the server" isnt a ban message?

if u got softban.. just go to pokestop . Click the pokestop. Spin it.. It will not do nothing. but if u keep repeat it for 40times.. u will be unban from softban
