Failed to get data=ban confirmed
Reported as a bug nearly a week ago and they sent me this today.

Got the same few minutes ago
funny I did not get that email but I still get Failed to get game data from server.
Also got it this morning.. Any way to get unbanned? Filled in an apeal lets hope it works.
It's been confirmed as a perma ban since users were able to make more accounts with their previous name. This is just Niantic finally issuing a response.

2 accounts of mine get failed to get data but i have had no emails and i cant use the nickname on a new game??
Just got that e-mail also. A bit unfortunate, but a bit expected.
I expect this entire forum to slowly close now as people no longer have a reason for bots since we are all banned lol

Bots are still coming and there are still ways to utilize them in a proper manner.
Despite the exploits being no longer as useful as they were, there are still several subsections that will/should remain intact.
There's the Discussion subsection, the Tutorials/tips subsection, the Help subsection, and the Marketplace subsection.

just start another bot 2 days ago, day 1 got to lvl 11 and yesterday hit lvl 15, try slow walk at 4 km/h, turn off the bot every 3 hours and rest about half hour, play only on work hours, off all night. this morning cant access the data, so quick to detect
