Do you think this SE will work?

Trying to SE two computers each valued at $2500 from Amazon.com ... However, going to pay for one and say the other one was not in the box. I will most likely buy two monitors that I will also say arrived. Will this work? I will be required to sign upon delivery due to the high price of the item but will something such as the weight cause my refund to fail (or any other reasons)?

All parcels get weighted upon leaving the warehouse and when handed over to the carrier. Hope this answers your question.

The thing is, what would stop them from making me send back a $2500 computer? Do they just give the refund anyways without requiring me to send back the damaged item?

@Astro. You can always try to say that there was some sort of leak from the computer and you were hurt. Say that you needed to call medical assistance and they will refund you since they don't want to get sued.

Have you ever done this? I think I might actually do this but maybe I should do it over the phone to sound more sincere.

Would they want a record of this since you said you wanted medical assistance

and its not a bad idea saying you got hurt but they could launch a investigation if they found out that you faked the injury o.o

That's what I was thinking especially since both computers amount to $5000 total...

This worked before so you can try. Trying researching about some common problems of the computer you are purchasing. Like read the reviews and everything. This leak thing actually worked for an expensive one btw. There are some cases that computers don't leak chemicals or any sort.

Do you think this SE will work?
