Invalid Skype name? 2 Step verification?

Every time I try to add my Skype name in my profile settings it just tells me it is an invalid name? What gives?

I just wanted to add step verification to my account but you need to scan the QR code. My camera doesn't work on my main mobile. Is there an alternative method to be able to get a key instead?

AFAIK the app needs to be tied to your phone, and needs to be scanned to setup. So I don't think there's an alternative to that. As far as the skype thing goes, ****** skypes are not working for some reason, a lot of people have complained about that. I have no knowledge on how to fix that. I will link the site owner to this thread in case he has more insight into either of these problems.

I think if they exclude the "******" part it might work, not quite sure about it tho @Platinum
