New DbD Update 1.1.1

So upon opening my Steam, I realize the infamous game that is Dead by Daylight has to update...

I started reading the 'new' updates thinking that it would be version 1.1.2, but instead they fixed an issue with killers using bots in game while they go doze off somewhere.

Thing is for them to use the bot they have to download the macro keyboard recorder software, I'm familiar with this software and have used it before but not for Dead by Daylight, I didn't even know you could use it for Dead by Daylight.

And the genius company that is Behaviour Interactive decided to TAKE ACTION NOW and completely wipe out the macro bot system...

My question is why did people use macro anyways? The only way to get points as a killer is to actually go around and find survivors, but obviously that wasn't the case if they had to patch the macro bot... If someone knows why people used the macro and why did Behaviour Interactive take action on something that would seem harmless, please feel free to let the community know here, I'm for the one that would love to know why!!!

I'm not sure why they used it but I didn't mind, free bp & ranks for my survivor lol

I guess since I don't play Killer, I wouldn't know why they used it, but I'm pretty sure the people using the macro bot knew what they were doing...

They use bot macros for survivors so they can farm bloodpoints. And killers also get around 16,000 bloodpoints if Survivors are smart enough to realise it's a bot and farm the points in front of the killer (So the killers get Survivor spotted bloodpoints, Attack bloodpoints and etc.).

They get survivor spotted, but might not get attack BP if the survivors are mean

But I can understand that, but it's still pretty risky, had a game where the killer did that and came back later to see that there were 3 injured survivors and her got every one of them... I made it out though

Ik it's risky, but lots of people have friends (pre-made) to instantly farm. If you do get a botter though, I'd suggest just do everything and not bother for bloodpoints unless you want to risk your rank for the extra BP. But that's technically its only use (farming BP for survivors and sometimes for him).
