I have the following installed:
MS C++ 6.0
MSVC++ 2003 .net
MSVC++ 2005 express
MSVC++ 2008 professional
MSVC++ 2010 express(I hate it tho)
BloodShed Dev C++
Code::Blocks

My prefered IDE for making hacks is 2003 .net
My prefered IDE for anything not related to hacks is 2008.

Like why06 said, if you keep your enthousiasm I'd be more then happy to guide you on your journey
I uninstalled Bloodshed because after I compiled "Hello World", my av detected a virus.

I know it's probably a false positive but I don't want my av spazzing out every time I compile something.

edit: this may be a stupid question but the Express version isn't the same as the Professional version is it?

Very user friendly. I quite like it myself.

I completely agree with you. I like the fact that you can easily install packages. Very handy when it comes to multi-media development, like OpenGL or Glut.
OpenGL is used in CS1.6 right?
