Windows 7(64 bit)not working for new update

I have Just downloaded the newest update download for my newly bought laptop

laptop - toshiba win 7 64bit
4GB memory
AMD processer
etc....

I when to z8games and downloaded the Mirror-3 (east coast) download.
it finish downloading in about 40 mins and i clicked to install it.
as soon as i do that, shortly after a message pop-ups and says
"C:\program Files (x86)\Z8games\crossfire\rez\RF003.REZ
An error occurred while trying to copy a file: The source file is corrupted.
Click Retry, Abort, or Ignore....etc..."

I thought it was just a failed download so i redownloaded a new download.
same thing again.... someone please help me

Hmm I had a problem with my Windows 7 x64, though it wasn't that one. When I downloaded CF from any mirror, at 410mb of 410mb with 1sec. left, it said "Internet Explorer cannot download the file CF__Setup from *****. Disconnected from server". So I just downloaded version 1036 and the patcher updated the game. Try that if nothing else works.

umm.... where do i get 1036 ....? i have 1040 version.
tell me what to click or where to find it.

I don't want anything is not from the z8games website... sorry i have had many miss takes by the way your trying, not saying that your doing anything wrong, it's just i would like an official download from the website.

Well, im not sure but is it ok if i post ant outside link here? it's not a hack anyways. (im asking to avoid ban)

Uninstall it, then redownload crossfire from another mirror. Btw you cant have 1036 because of the mutution mode patch.

Hmm well it patched mine and downloaded the remaining files in v1037, v1038, v1039 and v1040. It's ok Hitman, but you'll only get 1040 from z8games. Good luck mate.

but patching files has more chances of being corrupted.

unistall all and start from beginning..could help

:O... Well my CF is working fine no so np. The only solution I seem to find (as the z8fags have got v1040) would be to download an older version, but as BLOOD said (trusting him obviously), patch may be corrupt.

Ok now I'm confused. Did you download it or did your download fail? Or did the fail occured while installing? Or after that and when starting game? CONFUSED.

I think hes having trouble opening it.

I dont understand whats he having trouble with. Maybe he can explain a little better?
