Legacy Prestige / Likelihood of being Banned

Title. Do you think the Devs will be smart enough to tell the difference between those who cheated and those who grinded? They say they have our save files which cannot be edited, do they mean the Steam cloud save?
They also said they may be rolling out bans when Legacy drops. Anyone here have experience to how effective EAC is (or isn't) in handing out bans?

Got banned for some reason error code 3 on eac which is fucking stupid. I haven't been hacking and have over 360 hours on that game. Yes, I prestige over 360 hours!

Guys , do not start to prestige your all survivors/killers, that maybe an idea from devs to catch you. Just saying.
