Login system

I am done my login system in c#. But i only can logged in successfully in my own computer which the sql server also installed on my own computer.
After that, i copy my application to other pc to try log in. But failed to log in although log in with correct username and password..
Anyone can help me?

Change the host name from localhost

xD If that happened you don't deserve a login system.

But seriously I'd recommend running a php script, That way everything is done on a server.

I was saying that as a joke.... But if you don't know how to change the host your connecting to, you definitely should be reading a book on the extreme basics to programming in any language.

You'll need to host the database online, or make it so your user can connect to it somehow.

You can also run C# on a server. I find it easier to make web applications in C# rather than PHP.

php is faster then .NET And easier

It's all down to personal peference I believe.

Username and password in .Net app ;?
It is quite easy to decompile it

I use .php responses

It is much safer because all login data stays on your server instead someone s pc.

Sure, the application would be easy to decompile but obvisoly you would not store sensetive data in your program.
You would hash the passwrod in the database, and just use and webAPI to communicate.

All i did were making a drop box database. :-)
easy to crack, but works perfectly, just search on youtube if you're interested. i made a tutorial.

That would work, but that's also how you get your database or the entire server compromised or even stolen.

I usually write servers with Tcp handlers, encrypt sensitive data and use some local server instead of a SQL server, NoSQL is also great idk how secure tho
