Has anyone ever thought of creating a league for 1.6?

Since most 1.6 leagues have closed their doors long ago, why hasn't anyone started up a new league? There are enough willing players for this to happen. The only current leagues left are Russian and Venezuelan which aren't that preferable. Would you like to see someone re-open the gates to a 1.6 league?

I would love to see someone re-open 1.6 leagues, could be very fun and bring back good ol' memories.

I've been looking into the subject, even if anything goes through, then getting participation and sponsors as well as advertising being difficult.
