Im thinking about upgrading

My mobo: ASUS P8H61-M LX3 R2.0

Good match? Also Im broke so I can't really afford a CPU cooler (considering that I have to buy a PSU too), so is there any problem if I don't get the cooler too?

emm, the cpu with the cooler is cheaper

and then the retail version is $200, which includes the stock cooler, Dont know why you are looking at the OEM version of the cpu

he cant overclock the i5-6500, its not the unlocked version (unlocked version have a k at the end (15-6600k)), so there is no need to get an aftermarket one

the 6500 will run just fine with the 1060, you will be able to play most games on the highest settings at 1080p at 60fps

Just get the one with the cooler unless you want to buy cooler. Without cooler computer will crash every like 5 seconds for CPU overheating lmao. Also if you do want to overclock a non "k" series it's possible you just gotta have the right mother board.

i'll save an extra 40$ and get the 6600k
much better + unlocked processor and higher clock speed and some times it compute with i7 6700k

for the GPU it's great

I would not get the CPU cooler. The stock coolers are usually good enough and if you actually need a better cooler in the future you can always buy it later.

Dude don't listen to this chumps. Get a dryer much better for you cpu.
