You can't normally sign up with custom Skype usernames, now its emails/******alksdmalsdkmsa
But it's possible to do this by using Bluestacks and downloading an old Skype version and signing up there.

What so we are able to do this ourselves if we just use an emulator or rooted phone to install an older version Skype to which you sign up on?

I just made a normal Skype username just fine, this is a dumb service :/
