start the normal crossfire exe not the shortcut on windows 7 xD ive got continously kicked from server after ive figured out how and why? xD
I dont have that problem for me it downloading normal 
What's your OS? (i.e. Windows 7,Vista, XP, etc.)
My CF update was done in 2 mins XD
in Uk server i lag bady got 140ping XD
It may depend on your OS (as said above) or in the system rquirements, but still if it won't work at all just re-download the latest CF client.

need to update haha. But igot it to work i just close the patcher and reopened ahah didnt need to redownload client. But that was a gay patch if u ask me. Wanted new guns or something!
