πŸ™ Managing a loading screen/reconnect
Hello again guys, I've managed to obtain the proper object ID for using a portal as was my issue before. But now I seem to struggle with the "loading screen" or whatever it's called. It seems a reconnect gets triggered after I enter the portal and this is where things goes wrong. Would really appreciate any kind of help/hints I can get.

This is a clientless bot made using k-relay by the way.

Thats how portals work....You send a useportal packet, if the server accepts that packet it will return a reconnect packet with the details you use to connect to the dungeon/realm the portal was for.
Okay, so added a breakpoint to see how the reconnect packet looked like and it doesn't look too good... :/ I guess host is suppose to contain address I should reconnect to.

Code:
packet
{ RECONNECT(39) Packet Instance
	Name => {objects.Cloth_Bazaar_Portal}
	Host =>
	Port => -1
	GameId => 5
	KeyTime => 1486574028
	IsFromArena => False
	Key => System.Byte[]
	Send => True
	Id => 39
}

That packet looks fine

As bluuman said, that packet is correct. If the host is blank, you use the same ip address you connected to before. If the port is -1, you use the same port you connected to before.

Lets give some scenarios where you are currently connected to 127.0.0.1 on port 1234:
- reconnect packet has host = (blank) and port = -1. Close connection and connect to 127.0.0.1 on port 1234.
- reconnect packet has host = (blank) and port = 4321. Close connection and connect to 127.0.0.1 on port 4321.
- reconnect packet has host = "127.0.0.2" and port = -1. Close connection and connect to 127.0.0.2 on port 1234.
- reconnect packet has host = "127.0.0.2" and port = 4321. Close connection and connect to 127.0.0.2 on port 4321.
You need to respond to mapinfo with load.
