[Art] Which one is better?

I'm very new here and I have just designed a logo for myself as I got a complete new username on MPGH.
Would be great if you can let me know which one you prefer and a rate for both!

The first one was done in Photoshop and the second one was done in both Photoshop and Illustrator.

1st is nice and simple

Out of the two, the second one is definitely better.

I should specify: the first one looks good as a throwback to the n7 logo, however the bottom of the I and the top right corner of the N don't really fit too much, plus it looks very flat.

Meanwhile, the second is clean and simple, thus more suited for an avatar, it could very well fit as the logo for a business.

Never really seen the n7 logo before, but now I have, you are right. It looks kind of similar.

First one looks better imo, just feels more refined.
It might just be me since I've been awake for more than 38 hours but the edges of the letter look fuzzy, you should try sharpening the image.
