Dashcam
We just bought a new car and by 'we' i mean my father lol

I wanted to ask if anyone on here used a dashcam before and which model would you recommend?
Is it possible to get it 24/7 running?

Thank you !

We personally use this one for our Toyota Land Cruiser. It is pretty good and it has pretty good quality video. You can of course see the license plates easily in case of an accident. You can configure it to start recording when you start the car and then it automatically stops recording and "shuts down" 2-3 minutes after you turn off the engine.
I'll look into this one !

I can't tell you which exact model you should get but some redditor mentioned that you should get a dashcam
that costs about 0.5% to up to 3% of your vehicle's retail value.
What I'm trying to say is, you should get a high-quality product since you (or your dad) own a high-quality car.
In a given case this camera can help you get a new car tbh

Thank you, that was helpful. I should use reddit more lol. I'll keep that in mind.
Since we pay 1,2k yearly for insurance it's always good to have some proof. But if it's really bad, they will just get us a exact new car.
If it's only small damage, like window or door etc they will refund us the full amount of repair.
But if the repair costs are under 500-700( forgot the right amount), we have to pay itself.
It's called Omnium insurance, dont know if it's the same in germany or us.

Hey @PrOgResS thank you for your answer. We were looking for 2 anyways. For the front and the back.
For the sides it will be harder to record, i think.

@Dave84311
I'm dead serious about the AMD shares
Ryzen is probably gonna take the value up to about 15 or 18 p.s. - I got a few shares from before 31.Jan which are already giving some nice profit c:
Are you or Dave into wall street stuff?
I'd suggest buying a dual dash camera, meaning that is comprised of 2 different cameras (they are both connected to each other I think, not via cable) which go to 2 different sites of the car. For example you can have one in the dashboard and the other one on the right or left window, or the rear mirror. Thus, it is possible to have proof in case someone hits you from the right or left side. Rear side doesn't matter that much since it is not your fault ofc.

I think I've seen one for 120$. I am going to try and find it on amazon.

@CloudUser just said "Rich boys giff me money". Misread the "What does your father do for a living" for "What do your fathers do for a living".
My mistake :P You are right. I did not speak on behalf of @Portgas D. Ace.
Yeah, they interest me a lot.
If you want 24/7 power get a voltage tester for like $10 and test each fuse box on the car until you find one with the appropriate voltage and is powered when the car is off.
