Laptop

I am moving to Dubai for University and I can't take my desktop with me so I was wondering if there is any good laptop in the range of $1300, I will be mainly using it for gaming and studying maybe some designing too. So yea if anyone has a good suggestion I'd be grateful!

Well, if you get a gaming laptop, your bag is going to be heavy af along with your other books. I'd probably try getting something like a chromebook and build a PC with the money left over

From what I remember, in Uni you think you'll have time to game and design things but you probably won't. You'll be too caught up with living life doing crazy things, hanging out and just going through so many experiences that will shape your future (not to mention studying). Hence I'd recommend getting a MacBook because it handles the designing quite well and is able to run games if you really need to.

As the user said above, MacBook pro would be the choice and is also what I will go with for uni for Computer Science when fall comes. Firstly by having a MacBook pro you will probably not be gaming as much which is a positive thing as you will have time to socialize and study instead. The question is if you will get a valued mac book pro at 1300$, might try to search on something similar to craigslist for a used but still not too old mac book pro. I might be wrong though, with a student discount you might aswell get a mac book pro with decent specs for 1300$. Anyways good luck with finding one mate!

use game laptop you can solve your problem

I mean if you want something for light gaming that also doesn't look stupid, like imo a lot of the "gaming laptops" do, id recommend the new Dell XPS 15. The new one has a GTX 1050 in it, and a kaby lake i7 CPU, with 16gb ram, they pretty much fit your price point too, and they are just a bit thicker than a Macbook.

Get a used alienware can't go wrong with that.
