"Lifetime" means "as long as the company he's using won't realize they have weird bills for Adobe".
Adobe license for companies cost ~60 euro/month per user. He's adding you to the company account, which is awesome due to nice perks you receive, but it's really not a lifetime. I had one like that which worked for roughly ~8 months (which is still cheaper than even a student subscription), but definetly wouldn't expect "lifetime" out of it.

The free method out there is just downloading apps from adobe without having an account. And not all of the apps work. Plus you won't have all the benefits like adobe portfolio and more.
