AMD Ryzen VS Intel i9

I've seen a lot of rumors that Intel are working on his new processors family, Intel Core i9, to compete with his archenemy, AMD and his brand new AMD Ryzen processor.
Are there news that can confirm if this is credible?
Do you think i9 would be better than Ryzen?
Are you hungry?

Well i hear that AMD fixed that long ago, i don't know really. Do you have an AMD processor in your house? It always overheats?

Not sure where you got that information from, some of my friends have AMD CPU's and they are perfectly fine.
Intel has better performance but higher cost, AMD provides performance that might be slightly slower than the competitor for a margin of the price, meaning people who don't want to spend lots of money can get something that performs just as good for less than Intel.

Seems to me that you're just an Intel fanboy.

Going back to the OP;
The i9 series will more than likely destory Ryzen, though it won't be targeted to compete against it. I think that the price of the i9 series will be more than the current i7, since it's rumoured that they are planning to have 10C/20T CPU's, meaning they wouldn't put their super premium product up against a competitors series that is meant to undercut the lower performance hardware they make.

Also, I feel that they are only going to release the i9 series this year so they can draw all the attention away from Ryzen so they can maximize the sales.

Yeah, that's exactly what i am thinking. I didn't expected that intel might work in a new processor just because AMD Ryzen is popular now. Well, the prices of i7 might will go down now, so i'll be interested in getting one soon.

Hahaha that's hilarious. Back on topic, I agree. I don't think Intel's i9 is aiming to compete with AMD's Ryzen, but I think since AMD dropped the news about Ryzen release that Intel kinda saw it as a moment to jump in an steal the market share. They're trying to get people to justify the price hike for an increase in performance for the i9 over Ryzen.

Oh and if the 7700k drops in price, I'll 100% be buying one.

By the way, i heard that AMD has been able to be even more faster than Intel Processors, but the fact is that Intel Processor are the best choice, because of improvement and stability with the majority of the motherboards, and, with Microsoft OS: Windows..

I've heard i9 might just be the extreme versions of i7, just because there's such a gap from the base i7 to the extreme editions of processors. Like the 6700 (non k) for 300 bucks, while you also have the 6950x which Is also an i7 for 1700 bucks, which is 10 cores with only 0.4 GHz slower clockspeed. They're not even close to eachother, yet are grouped together. But yea, I also agree with Harry, as instead of releasing a few more processors in the i7 lineup, coming out with a "whole new" line of processors would certainly gain a lot more attention.

Omg, 8th gen of intel cores, the new intel core i9 that comes with 18 cores, just for $2K, can't believe it dang.
I believe that intel was conscious that AMD was calling the attention with Ryzen, then Intel decided to show their new brand line of Intel core series.

Honestly, I'm looking forward to the new i7-7740X. Get a really nice new mobo and run that inside. Its base speed is 4.2 ghz, so I'll be set to run that alongside my 1080 ti

The new i9 series with its 12 and (I think) 16 cores looks insane. Definitely not consumer-necessary but I think we'll be seeing some nice upgrades with some big companies.

Im going to AMD Ryzen Threadripper, cheap and affordable. They don't have the best performance but this year, they are hitting the market!
