Post Office Pickup

Has anyone attempted to refund a package that was picked up from the post office? If so, was the package weighed before it was handed over to you?

I have never tried to refund such, but whenevr I pick up from post office I am required to show ID and sign. Canadian BTW

When you sign, are you signing just to prove that you received just the package, or does it go more into depth?

they checked my drivers license to make sure address matched, and they just whipped out the normal signing machine, that they would have on any postal truck. Nothing special. But I think your going to have issue refunding postal offices always make you show iD

I see. Signing and showing ID won't hinder the refund since I obviously won't be using 'didn't arrive'. Just wanted to make sure what the process is like before attempting a refund.

Glad I could help. I didn't think of the "It arrived but missing ____" method, I could see such working.

And just to clarify I have had the same post office pickup experience from Purolator, and Canada Post

you can always say there weere some junk(books) inside instead of the original item

I'm going to pass on that. Been refunding for some time now, and that seems like a good way to get yourself in some deep shit.

ok. then just return it and buy again in 1-2 weeks

Update incase anyone was interested:

Managed to refund it after picking it up and signing for it. Took a tad longer than a usual refund but worth it.
