im very experienced, i have made a heap of programs, but since i formatted yesterday i dont have them any more, and i have been vb.net coder for about 3-4 months

Any webbrowser made with VB components is just IE with a different front end.

you can use the gecko (firefox) engine...

Just because you use the ie component doesn't make it ie, I can make a browser that looks and functions exactly like chrome using the web component creating your own browser allows you to negate the alot of the issues in internet explorers code, I understand why you said it, bit it's not entirly the case

I know, but I'm 100% he wouldn't even have a clue how to do that.

Not that I say I would, because I can't, but these webbrowsers are just the webbrowser component and the buttons contain the default functions, so basically nothing special.
