ID's for addons

I've tried Vurms item transform and have successfully transformed crappy items for better ones.

My question is, how do I find out the empty addon id?

I can equip an addon without the belonging item first, so even If I have the empty item id it doesnt help me towards getting addon id's. I've tried searching and everyone says the same thing - that its the same adress for empty item slot as it is for empty id slot.

But the problem still persists, I cant equip and addon without first equipping an item that the addon belongs to, and that changes the empty item ID with the item (instead of the addon).

Am I missing something?

Equip item without addon, search for empty slot. Then equip and addon (which belongs to current item, that's the rule you cannot break), search for increased value. I don't see a problem here since the method is the same for every existing slot in the game.

Okay. I ... legitimately feel really dumb, so I really do apologize. What am I missing?

I have successfully managed to start CE without ECPD. (or whatever the hell their Anti-C is anyway).

I have been able to find the empty slot, and also was able to find ... let's say here's my example:
(I don't have too many 'high tier/super rare' stuff yet.)
Campfire medkits. (it's like 64281 or something for me) I have 3x of them
I have Emergency Medkits. (64290 or something) 1x

I searched for <empty slot> (643 or 602 kind of forgot, this was my attempt earlier this morning.)
Searched it. Put in the campfire medkit. The value changed. (that's how I found the values)
Did the same for the emergency one.

Tried to search for all the 64281s, looked for the 'grouping' that was .. around 3-5 values. (Did the copy and paste trick into a notepad. I didn't know CE could do that, so thanks for that too Verm)
Found the grouping (was actually 3) and changed the 64281 in the values to 64290.
Clicked off the load out to character select
and nothing happened when I went back.
And at the time, I didn't 'sync' my save files with Steam.

Second question: I know achievements, etc. etc. (Blood points, etc.) will disappear if I do sync it, but do the items as well?

And I do apologize, as I did look through all the pages in your thread Verms, but I felt as if I was missing something, so I'm pretty sure you're wanting my head to explode at this point, but I feel the same way for myself. Any chance for a little more assistance or suggestions?

Open Cheat Engine,
Step 1: Search 649 (8 Bytes)
Step 2: Take a flashlight
Step 3: Click Next Scan (649 again 8 bytes do not change anything)
Step 4: Equip Add On
Step 5: Red ones your add on id

Search for the 649
Equip item + addon
Use the changed search function on cheat engine
unequip addon
Search for 649
equip addon and use the changed you will then probably be able to see them if not just retry
