get payment upfront, or at least a portion up front, to avoid this in the future

Find his facebook and threaten to kill his family. That's what I do.

no,i want him to kill himself for the fact he would steal 20$,i dont think its even worth the time to steal this little amount.(its not ok to steal , im just saying if he were to steal like 200$ from i would somehow understand.)
