[Help]Chat box + Winsock
i need a chat box code i am using windsock tool plz help
don't beg for source codes -_-
Using Winsock in vb.net? or is this a VB6 code? In either case, I am pretty sure there is either a Open Source Chat Box here, or a project to reference.

Plus, there is plenty (and I mean ALOT) of documentation on using Winsock and creating chatbox's.

It is not the way of the VB section to write whole applications, if you come across any errors or need help, fee free to ask.

I don't quite understand the first line. Is there an easier alternative to use Windows sockets in VB.NET?
I released a client + server application (chat) using tcp.

it does work, living in germany, chatted with one from the united stats...you gotta edit your ip -_- used no-ip. it is a chat sooo lulz
I asked the question more as to the format of the question, which "may" imply a older version of visual basic, usually when someone asks a question about using windows sockets in vb.net they will say,

'How do I create a chat (server/Client) application using
Net.Sockets" or (Net Sockets) or (Imports System.Net.Sockets)

and when a vb 6 user asks a similar question they will say
"how do I create a chat program using winsock." (in which case they mean the WinSock Active X Control)

The Term winsock (as you said) is "Windows Sockets" and is applicable in both vb.net and vb6, however the Active X control "winsock" is usually mentioned by a designer either new to vb.net or a developer in vb6

just wanted to verify which with the OP
I have source code for a chat box that you can your friends through. pm and i can help
