What do you think?
I was called up by an interim saying they needed an urgent worker, desperate as fuck.

I said alright, I'll do it for you.
Consider this: I train 3x a day, I sacrificed my training, I called my trainer: I need to work, it'll be just one or two days. I will miss the morning and day routine but I'll be there in the evening.

I get there first thing in the morning, everyone is surprised, no work for me as nobody expected me, I just do some bullshit they make me do 4 hours straight. Pulling these heavy dumb tiles from a box and putting it in a dumb bag with a fucking sticker.

4 hours long, no breaks.

I tell the dude I'll be leaving in the afternoon, don't count on me.

Later on, I receive a reply: Sorry, the company has opted not to pay you because you left without noticing anyone. We as an interim can not help you.

Now obviously I'm not gonna let this one go, they'll have to pay up. I didn't cancel my day and do some bullshit work 4 hours for nothing.
What do you guys recommend?

I'm gonna give it some time to think about, instead of going nuts.
Well, if you did the work its only fair that they pay you...
Sue the company :P easy money
I don't know about your country but that's illegal here. Threaten to report them.

I'll definitely threaten to report them, if in any case nothing goes my way, I'll probably sneak in and take some shit worth a few times what they owe me. Their building security is horrible.

If he didn't put his time in an official timesheet, he can't do anything about it. Every real job paid by hours is supposed to have a timesheet for employees. They don't have to pay him without documented proof he was there. (U.S.)

They have the paper, I have a contract.

I had put when I started and when I ended on that timesheet. The only thing they could say is 'you didn't notify us that you were leaving, even though we had no work for you so basically we're just bullshitting' or: you don't get the timesheet.

Then if your time is documented, and another employee can confirm your time there. Threaten them to pay you, you have all the legal docs and proof.
Illegal mate :/ .
If they didn't pay you and you are up to report them.Threaten them first. If they don't budge.Call a lawyer and prepare to sue them. You will invest maybe a few hundreds but the payout will be bigger.
update:

so the interim agrees I need to get my money, they also say I did call them during the break saying I wasn't coming.

In any case, either I get paid or they'll have to blame the interim.
I think you're in good shape now lol

Most people don't like taking it to court anyways so....
