So I bought a serial number from a seller and tried to do a SE and I thought it was going to be successful but they sent me this email. Since I don't own the device will I be in trouble or something? Sorry I'm a newbie so don't just throw rude comments.

Don't think he has the device. Just a S/N he bought.
And you're fine. If your SE method fails, just ignore the email and start over with a new S/N, and use VPN.

Oh! In that case, if you used your real address, just make up an excuse like you have AIDS and got blood on it or something. Or you got battery acid leaked into the mouse and the carrier says it's too unsafe.
