Risks and problems doing SE

So I want to know what are the risks and problems of doing SE. Can something happen ? for example doing SE for a logitech products.
If any1 is willing to talk about it then I would gladly listen.

You may be asked for:
-Pictures of the product you're trying to SE
-A serial number
-The original packaging or product sent back

Those are just a few things. If you're doing it for the first time and aren't prepared I would watch someone who knows how to do it.
