What SE stands for? i mean i know what is refunding but i'd like to know how SE works? and what are the risks.
social engineering = SE , its when you call a company and ask for a replacement when you dont own the item
an example Logitech, get a serial number for any Logitech item and call them to ask for a replacement
Thanks Pal'

SE basically means social engineering. It is when you contact the company's customer service for a replacement or a refund using the products warranty period. People tend to use serial numbers of that specific product and make up a story on how the item doesn't work anymore or broke. They do this in hopes of getting a free replacement from the company because they strive to achieve 100% satisfaction.
The risks is that sometimes they could bill you after you received the item, by asking for your credit card info before shipping a replacement out or sending a bill to your address that's listed.

So it's basically the same as the refund?

For refund you have to actually purchase the item first before starting it.
SE you don't have to pay for anything.

SE'ing and Refunding are two different things:
SE'ing = when you call a company and ask for a replacement when you don't own the item.
Refunding = paying for the item and when it delivers, you basically say you never got it and they refund you and you get to keep the item but get your money back.
Thanks everyone, was just making sure.
