I think he's talking about syncing our file back with steam cloud. I'm guessing once they start using their own dedicated servers to save everyone's save file, anyone who does not have steam cloud enabled will lose their files? I think that's what he's talking about.

Not sure sorry. I don't know how all that's going to work when they start using dedicated servers. But From what I understand if you turn stream cloud back on after using hacks you'll get banned. But like I said I'm not sure how it all works, just from what I've heard. I honestly haven't even played dbd in months so don't really care for the game anymore. I might turn my stream cloud back on it tomorrow and see what happens.

From what I know for now, They want to create these "dedicated servers" just so that there is no loss of progress. A lot of people (especially veterans) have lost their original progression many times. Fault is on the wrong configurated of the Steam Cloud by Devs.

I think we will still be able to modify progress, even Cheat Engine or another tool. Hacked points/items will be available in our game until we restart it.

Just do not believe that they will completely rebuild this system, this game was made on P2P with local save. It will cost them a lot of money and time to change it. And the DBD population is constantly falling. Does that make sense? I doubt it.

I think they make dedicated servers because i too much using lagswitch and they cant ban me for that

is the company even making enough money to run the costs of servers?
