EAC Ban wave reason

Hello, to inform you why the ban wave occured (at least my reason):

First, I sent E-Mails to EAC 'Support', they wrote, that my acc was used for hacking, but not the 'reason' behind it.

Then, the DbD support (BHVR) reviewed my case and got contact to EAC:

We've reviewed your case and you were banned for save hacking.

I would not recommend using save game hacking, or at least be careful. I switched my savegames more times and they somehow recorded that (EAC). Just for your knowledge: Yes, they are scanning your files/system/memory. Be careful, whatever you do.

Yep, they can scan it.
EAC does not scan profiles, they don't have time for that - they only do data / algorithm scans.

Unless they switch save files on own servers, EAC can't flagged edit save, because it would ban people who LOST save and load your backups.

But when they do, the EAC will definitely detect it.

No, they could have an option to scan modification in the file itself; and: They could check what the previous save was, or they could check amounts of items that has been hacked, like >500 = hacked or sth like that.

we dont need this thread if you use hack its a risik to get banned so everyone has to know themselves and I think everyone is aware of it

Darkdania is right if you have steam cloud turn off he can not check it

EAC skan local files, so steam cloud off not protect you from this.

But can you give evidence of this like EAC having handle to save file or something else?

Yes. Evidence is: I got EAC banned. Devs of DbD couldnt look into the case and had to contact EAC. EAC told DbD Devs, I modified savegame, because: "We've reviewed your case and you were banned for save hacking."

Of course they check the files.

I don't know how EAC ban looks and how is it handled. But there are more people save hacking and it should be equal for everyone. They can say it is EAC but it may be another instance for ex. they have own analytics and reports and then manually ban or half-automatically.
