[Help] Starting a private server?

Starting a private server?

I feel pretty lost in all the recent posts for private servers, was looking for some clarification.

I need a source to start with, where can I find the downloads for them, and which is the best to use?

Also, which language is necessary to modify the client to add a different nexus / behaviors?

Ok first step: Get the right programs : XAMPP, Visual Studio 2015, heidisql,
2nd: Find a good source. I recommend Cakes Domain. Go here to download https://www.media fire.com/file/tp7a...Domain+2.0.rar (take out the space in between midea and fire)
3rd. Extract the folder to destop or documents
4th. Open Cakes domain folder and go to server.sln and open with visual studio and change the port to 8888 or whatever port you use.
5th. open xampp and click mysql.
6th. Open Cakes Domain>Bin and go to server.exe and wserver.exe and right click them and run as adminstrator.
7th. Open client-new and WAPAW.

How to add items

1st. download programs Paint.net, Notepad++ and jpexs or flash decompiler.
2nd. Open jpexs or flash decompiler and open your client and go to images and extract image
3rd. Open paint.net and open image.
4th. Draw sprite.
5th. Save and go to Cakes Domain>db>data>dat.1
6th. Open with notepad++
7th. Copy a relevant item by pressing f+ctr and if your making a sword then ctr+f and type Short Sword, Copy it and if you want it neat then go to the bottom of the document and paste it there. It doesnt matter, Just neater
8th. change stats
9th. save it then open server.sln with visual studio and press build then rebuild section whilst hovering over server folder.

If you're willing to put the effort into setting it up, I recommend NR-Core. Though, it might not be the best for beginners, you wouldn't want to pick up any bad habits working on an inferior source.
