Hey guys, i've seen many complaints about the new map Miramar so I want to share you my way how to only play our good old Erangel.
This is not the best soulution, as it basically cuts the time between joining in the old map and disconnecting out if it, but it's worth it
You will save a lot of time instead of quitting each game with the new map!
So first of all you have to get into the PUBG installation files. You can find those under your Steam folder: SteamLibrary -> steamapps -> common -> PUBG
Then you have to find the files of the Desert Map: You will find those in the PUBG folder under: TslGame -> Content -> Paks
So now you'll see 20 pak files. We need 4 all called desert at the end.
- TslGame-WindowsNoEditor_desert.pak
- TslGame-WindowsNoEditor_desert_grid.pak
- TslGame-WindowsNoEditor_desert_heightmap.pak
- TslGame-WindowsNoEditor_desert_lod.pak
You got those? Perfect!
So now all you have to do is mark them all four, do an right click and cut them.
Make a new folder called Deset (on you Desktop or in the PUBG Files) for example and paste them in. If you want you can also delete them haha
Now start the game and you won't get into a match with the new map anymore.
You will get into matching and will see the Black Logo Screen for a few seconds but that will abort and you can search for a new lobby hopefully with the old map.
Also! This can be done the other way aswell. If you only want to play the new map -> Do the same with the Erangel files.
