Amazon Fire Stick

I managed to “find” an Amazon Fire Stick and was steaming great with it, unfortunately the original owner reported it lost or stolen and Amazon have now blacklisted it.

Is there a way to root/jailbreak it so I can change the serial and get it working again?

The other option is to buy another and then return it with the older fire stick. But then I’d have to wait until next week to afford it.

Any suggestions?

Is that even possible ? I have never heard about amazon banning a firestick altogether. If that is the case I guess best option is to ask amazon how to resolve. You bought it from some guy on craiglist etc or from some website ?

I think your account got banned but not the fire stick. There is no IMEI on a stick or even their tablet.

Nope, its the firestick. Went to my local store, bought another one, paid cash, then returned it the next day after switching it. Now I am happily streaming with new Firestick in same account.

They told me that they cannot resolve it and I should return it to whoever I bought it off and ask for a refund. Even after a Google search it is blocked forever and Amazon cannot remove the bar once it has been put on.

I personally would just refund or buy a new one and jailbreak that one! Or purchase one legit at any store clear the one you have of anything on it accounts files ect.. and then return that one in the box and keep the new one! Pay in cash of course!
