Dupe glitch with a bench ?

Hello, on the server i'm currently playing on, the admins ban some guy because he dupe items using a bench.
They didnt say how and which bench but i know for sure there is a dupe glitch working atm
anyone know it and could share it ?

I highly doubt you can dupe anything in Rust, it just isn't possible with how they have items set up.

Every item has a unique ID assigned to it. EVERYTHING. From the bullet that exits the gun, to the campfire you put down to keep you warm. If there is a said method, trying to dupe that same ID wouldn't work as the game and server wouldn't allow the same ID to be assigned to the same item, or different one.

The only way it would work is if you somehow assigned a new unique ID to the item that could get past the game and server you are playing on without tripping any 'alarms' or errors in the process. Also, every item created and that is process by the server, can be accessed by the owner of the server, so even trying to dupe and then failing, which you will, will probably get you banned.

That is probably what happened to the 'guy' on the server you were playing on.


Oh and BTW, why the fuck would someone put the "duping glitch" if it existed on a public forum? It would be patched in a few days at most. Please don't tell me you're that stupid...

I know that this is an exploit because someone on my server I play was abusing it. He told me “hints” on how to do it, but never truly told me. He said it had something to do with crafting an item that isn’t craftable on “this server” which caused the dupe to occur, whether this is true or not is unknown but it’s apparently a glitch that affects certain servers. I play on a modded one.

If anyone knows how to do this please inform!

just a heads up, anything is possible not all is server side. you will be surprise what you find when you dig deep, the question is how deep are willing to dig?

Make your own server and experiment like I have been doing. You will see that it's impossible. I'm in a clan and they have heard nothing of a "dupe" glitch...

Its difficult to replicate. If you hit a lag spike as you learn a bp it teaches you the bp and you still have it. Also when servers restart you can do it. The only time I have successfully done it is when the BP is in the research table freshly researched, spam the learn button. If you don't immediately learn it from the learn spam you have a chance of duping it if there is lag, the game closes, or the server restarts at the same time as the learn spam. I've done it once this wipe by accident, then during a server restart I replicated the glitch.
