I've been having trouble posting to the RotMG section recently. I don't feel targeted or abused, just frustrated enough that I want to share my experience and maybe get some feedback.
Case 1: Release denied with unacceptable reason
I posted a simple RotMG client that a lot of people have requested. I followed all the rules -- 2 virus scans, photos, explanation of release, proper credits -- but my thread got deleted for a very weak reason.

I replied and explained that any "weird" differences were caused by decompiling the default client into a source, and then recompiling with different 3rd party library versions. Nyaro was cool and said he would actually into it if I posted again, but it's still annoying to go through the whole thread creation process again for what was honestly just an unacceptable reason.
Case 2: Breaking forum-wide rules (like everyone else)
I'm not sure what to think about this one. There are a lot of directions to github repositories on the RotMG forum, especially in the source release section, so when I decided to release some sources for various RotMG clients, I pointed to a github page. My thread was up for a day, but then got deleted by Ahlwong. I know that "no outside links" is a strict forum-wide rule, but there is a very strong precedent to allow github "links", so I'm not sure why mine is somehow different.
Examples of RotMG threads with github links:

Also, you're correct about GitHub links. I've removed them where possible
That last one does an especially good job illustrating why I thought it was acceptable to give directions to github. I'm not sure what Ahlwong means by "where possible" because he explicitly approved a github link in the same post.
