eBay scam

Hi,

Just want to ask you guys if this is a thing, this happened to me twice already. I posted a pixel 2 xl phone and someone buys it immediately then that person ask ebay for your contact info address, phone number, name etc (ebay has this feature where the buyer can request those info) then the buyer will send you a text message, talking nonsense if the phone is good etc. then buyer will ask for your paypal email so he can send the payment. I avoid this kind of things and always tell them to pay on ebay and do the transaction on ebay.

Does this happened to anyone before?

Never happened to me but I require immediate payment with buy it now (so listing doesn't come down till they've paid). What I get a lot is people seeing phone sold (not the person who bought it), writing me an email asking to send it to an alternate address. This is pretty easy to spot if you pay attention to user names but I get it pretty frequently.

Obviously don't let them pay by any means except through eBay checkout
