Hello,

You are correct in stating that it has to be done by staff. Once your thread has been posted for over 24 hours then you can no longer edit it. The most efficient way to get your thread edited is to report your thread (bottom left of postbit, the icon is like a warning sign with an exclamation point) and in the report message just say that you want it edited and what you want edited specifically. A lot of people will either make all their thread edits and then put it into a pastebin and put that into the report message or just put the entire BBCode/text they want into the report message so it can be changed.

To get the code/text of your own thread after it's been 24 hours just go to your original post and click 'Reply with quote'. Then you can take all of that, make your edits and then report your thread with the edits.
