every value I scan for with "cheat engine" is a question mark. How can I work around?

I'm in an altis life server with a "cheat engine" open, however every value I search for is just returning a '?'
However, I can attach the battleye process and when I search for values on that it works perfectly. I'm new to battleye, but I can hazard a guess and say that they are placing obcallbacks. So is this absolutely useless if I can't disable battleye?
My questions is... if I attach the battleye process to my "cheat engine" is there a way I can disable it through this by changing a value?
