Not a big fan of the building part so I'll say pubg.
Fortnite has such a large reach with it being free. As far as I'm concerned, I can play with any of my family or friends as the game is free and its cartoon style appeals to almost everyone. Playground mode made the game so much more enjoyable. Yet when it comes to the mobile versions, PUBG wins with their game being playable on my older devices.

It really, really depends. If you're into a more strategical game that's more focused around gunplay, then i'd say pubg.
on the other hand, fortnite is focused on building and fighting about 50/50. in my opinion, its also a lot more casual compared to pubg.
