I did use that some times, but slowly prestiged Meg in order to make achievements not look too fucked up, as well as to make my savefile look a little more legit.
EAC bans tend to concern only changing game files with unbypassed EAC. In case the ban was issued by DbD itself detecting discrepancies in your save file, it should not be an EAC one.
The most risky thing that I did while save file editing was adding teachable perks of other characters in the inventory of my main even though I never unlocked them.
Probably the problem is the metadata of characters that you don't own. I'm currently avoiding that kind of hacking (using whole different save files from mine, I'll always edit mine in a way I feel it safe).
What I mean to do is to get much progress back but as slow and safe as I can, farming playtime leaving the PC afk on the game, and making everything look as much legit as possible. When I'll be done, and have everything completely legit looking, we'll see how it goes as well for the big June update. It's of course gonna bring patches to any kind of cheating and many bans (or I expect it to, they mentioned that in a live if I'm not wrong and still it's predictable in such a context), but will also allow getting some (or all?) of the DLCs for free just through playtime.

Dude, you will always have a ban, even if you do not hack, after 2 bans, there will always be a new account on the new account, this is the rule if you can call it that ...

I think it may be related to such records in Save as:

cumulativeMatches <= responsible for the number of matches played
cumulativeSessions <= probably very similar as cumulativeMatches
cumulativePlaytime <= This record is strange. It seems that it works a bit like the Player ID, which is unique (?) And encoded in some way.

It seems to me that modifying your own save is still safe*, but getting save from other people is detectable.

*I noticed that devs updated the rules of the game and from now on allow the backup own save profile (and you can inject this)

I don't get why people don't create their own savefile anyways. Couldn't be any more simpler to edit it Good to know. I'm so tempted to add the rest of legacies i'm missing ahah. Got ~2k hrs on DBD

i edited my save today (morning) and i'm still not banned (public profile etc..) and a lot of perks with best items and addons at x8°° ~ for every single one of them. And still not get ban. I told you to don't use this dlc unlocker or greenluma, it's so easy to detect. Use a little bit your brain, if you had items and perks on a character u didn't bought you will get caugh it's obvious:/

And if I bought dlc, I spent blood points on the character from the dlc, and then asked for a refund? Or I played a game with all dlc through family sharing, and then I bought only the main game on this account and continued to play, should I also be banned? In the end, I can just permanently remove any dlс from my library forever, and characters with offerings and perks will remain. This is nonsense and certainly does not serve as an excuse for ban.
