infidelity (cheating) statistics

Just an disclamier, I don't know how accurate this statistic is or even if real and not pulled out of the writers ass, so don't take it at face value and that also means don't try to find big holes in this thread like @Dab mother asshole (jk dab chill the out pls don't hurt me).

However my question is, do you think those numbers are higher than reported (if we assume they are highly or even relatively accurate)? Also how many people on this site have cheating on their bf/gf or wife, I guess....

I personally never got into a relationship because this was another big reason for me. I know myself well enough to know that I would definitely cheat.

So what is the claim? The statistics? I don't care about looking into who they've sampled or where these statistics come from but here's some things to consider.

How old are the people they're basing these statistics on, where are they located, and how many of them were studied, how truthful are the answers, how long did the study last for, etc...

Cheating is a natural thing, if you don't like someone cheating on you then break up with them. If you do like it then enjoy it. Committed relationships depend on the individuals, it's not something you can quantitatively say. Does masturbating to porn count as cheating, does non-orgasm sexual affairs count as cheating? Does talking to another person count as cheating? Do you have to orgasm, or do you just have to be turned on by another person? Is thinking about someone being sexually attractive cheating? How far do I have to stuck my dick inside someone for it to be counted as cheating? Does the act of even touching another person count as cheating?

So many questions, so many issues with the statistics, but none the less I think it will always differ greatly depending on age, ethnicity, and population used.

Those number are right but they must be higher for me (or in France).
Lots of mariage end up after 5 years or less but it might be because frenchies are a bit stupid sometimes :/

To be honest humans are not meant to be "one" mate sort of mammals. And the longer our lifespan gets the harder it will be for people to commit to one person, bbut that being said THERE ARE EXCEPTIONS.

That same argument can be made against everything humans doing being "natural" since we are animals like every other animal on the planet.

There are evolutionary benefits to single partner relationships, other animals do this as well. There is a reason why at least when you're young you're more attracted to the person you love than any other person. This may vary, it may not be the norm, i do not know. I'm just gonna state the fact there is benefits especially for a human to be committed to one person.

Well humans don't survive on survival of the fittest rule, so are you talking about benefits as in emotionally, physically, or constitutionally (don't know if that is the right word).

If you fuck another women you can lose your family. Family bonds are the same bonds that tie societies and tribes together. Humans naturally want to stick together, because from an evolutionary perspective it keeps you safe. Of course you can fuck other women and not lose your family, or maybe make multiple families, although you're going to favor one of them and that one will be the one you want to protect the most.

Also theres the issue now in days that fucking some random whore can turn your dick green. Nobody wants a green dick.
