Starting a server?

I had a server years ago on Bukkit but I heard that one is basically dead what is the best server to use now? Looking for plenty of mods and regularly updated.

Well they do the same thing, but bukkit is dead after the lawsuit.

Spigot is the best server jar to use. Bukkit plugins will still work with spigot.

Use Spigot man. If you're gonna start a server and want it big, save up enough for advertising. And keep on top of your community with new features, contests, drop parties, etc.
