Steam Privacy Settings
What are your privacy settings set on?

What annoys me when having everything on "private", is that my friends dont see what game im playing and I can not invite them into game.
I'm tempted to set the settings like this:

My basic details:Public
Your profile name and avatar are visible to anyone who visits your profile and are used to represent you in multiplayer games.

My profile:Friends Only
Your community profile includes your profile summary, friends list, badges, Steam Level, showcases, comments, and group membership.

It also includes the following elements which you can control individually:

Game details:Friends Only
This category includes the list of all games on your Steam account, games you’ve wishlisted, your achievements and your playtime. This setting also controls whether you’re seen as "in-game" and the title of the game you are playing.

Inventory:Private
Your inventory includes items you've received in games that use Steam Trading. It also includes any Steam Trading Cards you've collected and extra copies or Steam Gifts.

Can post comments on my profile:Friends Only

But ofc, its hard to swallow the game details to friends only from private :s
Why private inventory

And your best bet is either Game Details on private or Friends Only. Unless you're dumb enough to make it public wanting to get banned (thats assuming that you either have legacy, or your achievements are all modified). Idk your friends, but If your friends aren't the type of assholes to report you. Then you should be fine. Nor do I think they would care that much.
I'm asking about inventory. Why should it be private?

If you want your friends to see you in-game, do this
1. Make your profile Public
2. Make your Game Details public and check the "Always keep my total playtime private even if users can see my game details." box

Doesn't that show achievements still? If so, then that would still be a problem especially if you have legacy.

Don't use legacy... problem solved, not safe at all

What's the point of hiding your profile to begin with then? The only other reason I can see is if your achievements don't look legit at all (unlocked all at the same time), which still doesn't change the fact that keeping your game details on public but your hours on private doesn't really help xd
