SubDomains

Hey, hoping someone here could really help me. And I don't know which forum I should be posting this in.

I have 2 domains, domain1.com and domain2.com. domain1.com has a lifetime unlimited hosting plan. domain2.com has no hosting as of yet but is used for emails via zoho.com. Zoho have now changed their subscription plan and I refuse to pay for the plan because when I signed up, I was promised unlimited email addresses, they then restricted it to 8, and now I've just tried adding a new email (only the 6th) and it says my plan doesn't support this many email addresses!!!

I also want to start using domain2.com as a personal website to help me find a better job.

The domain1.com domain has now expired and I have no use for it any more, support haven't responded to my questions about transferring the primary domain.

So the idea I have is to somehow use the hosting for domain2.com and possibly redirect it to domain2.domain1.com in the cpanel. I would transfer the domain2.com DNS name servers to domain1's DNS A records.

Would this work? Or would you know of any better ideas?
