Yeah, if I can find tutorials or documentation, I will probably learn it. Though I dislike webdesign, why not. The part I hate about web design is the design part anyway.
So far the closest thing I've seen to a tutorial is a scant amount from W3schools
HTML5 is going to be amazing, although pretty easy I hear. I'm definitely going to learn it, just need to find the time between that and work.

Way to bump a thread. And it's not so much as learning it as much as learning how the new elements work (which in turn means you have to learn how js works). html-wise the syntax is nearly identical, they just added a few elements. What's more interesting for newbies like you is CSS3 which allows for many js-less implementations of many features (like menus, transitions, animations...).
I know HTML5 , well mostly lol I think the books are better then the online tut the books go into great detail and its faster to look up exactly what your looking for. So try getting a book or two on HTML, lot better then online searches.
I would like some online Tut sites though, I was just thinking of making a special Search for just web code tut sites
