Tipping is the most retarded practice and if I remember correctly its something more common in the US than anywhere else.
I hate America's tipping culture yea i'm a cheapass why I gotta pay their salaries. Tipping doesn't even feel optional anymore and I hate when the bill comes to you and there's momentary awkwardness where they are glancing to see how much you are tipping. Yea I tip but I don't like having to pay an extra $4 on a $16 meal god damn it that's a damn appetizer that I didn't even eat.
It's honestly up to you. You don't know where the money is going exactly so.
They should be paid a decent wage, instead of having to rely on tipping.
