coinbase is probably the biggest and most common used exchange out there, so you should be fine with them regarding safety and so on.
however they also have a verfification process which includes your ID and sometimes proof of residence if I am not mistaken, so if you really want a quick sale of your Btc and dont mind receiving a little less in quantity I would recommend you any currency exchanges on forums with marketplaces
