Accept replacement or refuse?

Hi everyone, I wanted to get a refund for an order on a site (I used the DNA method), the site offers me a replacement by telling me in their email "if it is not too late".
You think I can refuse and say I want a refund, saying for example that it's for a birthday gift, won't it be too suspicious ? Or it's better if I accept the replacement without saying anything and then return the merchandise.
I don't know what to do about it.

Return replacements and get a refund or if u can ddip without any issues u can do that

You can tell them excuses to get refund instead.

I usually tell them that I’m traveling abroad in two days and don’t think it will come in time and they always just give me a refund.

just tell them its too late u already bought it somewhere else & want a refund now.

yea make up an excuse. if not accept the replacement then return it in store, its just an extra hassle and adds a couple days to the process
